A loft bed is a raised bed with a space underneath it. The bed is supported by two sturdy cabinets, a desk on one side and storage on the other. The cabinets, desk and bookshelves are reversible: they can face in or face out. Loft beds are for children six years of age and up.
The loft bed rests on top of two cabinets that are 48”, 54" or 60" high. The desk height is adjustable so it works for children from age six through teen years. The desk and the bookshelves can face in or out depending on the room configuration. The bed can also sit on the ground with short legs attached (sold separately) and the cabinets can stand against the wall and be used separately.
When possible, we recommend using stairs in favor of a ladder. Stairs allow for easier movement up and down for both children and parents. Each step also doubles as a sliding drawer for added storage space. The height under the bed is 52”. We also do a lower and higher version.
This is our most popular design. It has storage and a desk. The desk has adjustable height. The ladder projects 12" from the bed. The height under the bed is 52”. We offer a lower version (48”) and a higher one (60”). We also make a version that features a hamper drawer and a closet.
