Long overdue review for a Cabina Bunk Bed. Have nothing but good things to say about this bed. Communication from purchase through shipping (everything is smartly packaged so there was no shipping damage) and follow up was excellent. The bed is very well made, incredibly easy to put together since all the hardware is interchangeable (still takes a couple hours but that's to be expected), and the footprint is smaller than the single bed we replaced. One of the main reasons I picked this bed is that it is rated to hold 400 pounds which means either my wife or I can read books on the top bunk with our daughter (seems like most bunk beds out there only support around 200 pounds which adds up fast if you start with a 50 pound mattress) and even at 6'2" I can comfortably sit and read on the bottom bunk with my son which was a welcome surprise. This bed is probably one of my favorite pieces of furniture in our house and I have not a single regret about the purchase.

I love the quality of this bed and everything Casakids makes. This was my second purchase and it was a pleasure dealing with Francis who helped us with every step of the way. We ordered a Cabin (bunk) bed with a ladder and the Piano desk model for our kids room. Casa Kids came to our apartment to measure where the furniture would fit. It took a couple of months to get the furniture delivered. But we knew that upfront. installation by Casa kids was done in hour (within the time of day they scheduled) and the installers cleaned up all the packaging. Bed and desk are solid. Bunk bed can be taken apart and made into two stand-alone ones as the kids get older. Our kids love them.

We love our bunk bed! Super quick and simple assembly. Love the design. My 2 year old sleeps on the bottom bunk and my 6 year old loves sleeping on the top bunk. We ordered the trundle storage that goes underneath. There are 3 easy to open drawers that hide all the toys when they’re not playing with them. Would highly recommend this company! Also, they are really helpful and great about getting back to you quickly if you have any questions about products. :)

Super happy with both the day bed and trundle. Solid wood (heavy!), great quality and workmanship, pieces fit together perfectly - definitely worth the price vs. particle board or cheap wood / construction. Easy to put together (I did both myself in about an hour - day bed is actually slightly simpler than the trundle). Awesome quality and great looking. And fantastic customer service to boot with fast response, recommendations for mattresses, helping us find the right (lower priced!) bed for us, proactive communication, quick shipping. Super happy. GENIUS DESIGN, INTUITIVE ASSEMBLY AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICEWe and our kids love this bed! The design is very attractive, modern and playful with clean lines and a nice feel to the materials. Equally important is the very thoughtful way in which the pieces are shipped (seven boxes so that no box is overwhelmingly heavy or awkward carrying up the stairs); and the assembly process reflects extremely thoughtful engineering. For example, there is only one fastener type for every single connection point -- how many times have you had to sort through boxes of 12 different size screws and other hardware? Here, it's one giant bag filled with a single size of 'nuts and bolts' (highly recommend a power screwdriver with appropriate hex wrench attachment to speed the process). In addition, it was possible for a single person to assemble the bed given the way that the parts are stacked on each other. In all my years of putting together furniture, I have not come across something so intuitive and thoughtful. Finally, when we ran into an issue with one of the rails (a small dent in shipping), Casa Kids was very quick to replace it, not to mention HIGHLY RESPONSIVE to our questions before we bought the bed. Well done!

We put this together for my grandsons a few days ago. It is solid and attractive and works well in a relatively small bedroom. The instructions were clear and the parts all fit together easily. It took about 2.5 hours for two people. The handholds on the ladder give confidence to any climber and not having to look at springs from the bottom bunk is a nice bonus. Delivery was fast and as promised--even in the era of COVID!

This is such an amazing bed! I was blown away by the careful packaging and it arrived at the house without any issues. The bed is not only beautiful but so functional and it is clear it was designed with such care. In an age when so much furniture doesn't last, it is so refreshing to find a piece of furniture where it is so clear that every element was considered. The kids love the bed, it doesn't squeak at all and is so solid. My mother has very high standards, and she helped me assemble the bed, and couldn't stop talking about how amazing it is. The design is not only attractive but also very functional and it is clear that all aspects were considered. I feel confident we will have the bed for years to come!! Also, the customer service was amazing, and the team checked up on us and was there to answer any questions. Also, I budgeted an entire day to put the bed together, and even with two small children trying to "help", it really only took a couple hours. I can't recommend highly enough!

This bed was surprisingly easy to assemble. It is VERY sturdy and has such a modern yet cozy design. It is clearly all wood, with no off-gassing smell that is so common with other kids furniture. We could not be happier!

We’re quite happy with this bed and our kids love it. From the packaging, installation instructions and final look and feel, it’s clear the Casa Kids team gave considerable thought to this project and I suspect the same with their other products. The customer service we received upon ordering and shipment was equally great. We needed a new bunk bed for our kids that we felt would LAST and this is it. When the kids are ready it will turn into two beautiful twin beds! The bed is up, the kids (and us adults!) all love it and are not only happy to have a great piece of furniture but also knowing it is supporting a local small business in the Red Hook community adds a whole extra level of special. It was also surprisingly simple to put together and we can see how well made and throughout the design was. We can climb in bed, move around and no squeaks or movement in the bed, just what we needed.

We recently received Cabina bunk bed and we and our children are thrilled with it! Having travelled across the US from Brooklyn to Saint Helena, the 7 boxes arrived minimally scathed and it was an easy assembly. The bunks fit perfectly in our narrow room so that we could accommodate all of our 3 children, who are not yet ready to separate from each other. Ordered the Five little monkeys mattress per their recommendations, superior quality, and it fits comfortably and safely on the top bunk. Nice modern style, high-quality white and birch wood finish. Looked for many many months to find a bunk that was modern with a small footprint and could appeal to both boys and girls and finally found it. Highly recommend!

We have worked with Casa Kids twice now and have been extremely happy both times! We, like many Brooklynites, are very space-conscious and are always looking to maximize functionality and versatility. When our second child was born in 2015 a Google search led us to the Casa Kids team. We came in for a consultation and explained to Roberto our need for some kind of convertible trundle crib. He drew up the plans on the spot for a crib that converts to a toddler bed with a second toddler bed in a drawer beneath the crib. A few weeks later our trundle crib arrived, and we used it for our two kids for the next 3 years! Once our kids were old/big enough for bunk beds in May 2018, we once again came back to the Casa Kids showroom. This time we met with Francis who took excellent care of us and helped us design a custom Lolo bunk bed with side stairs, giving us a ton of storage and allowing us to get rid of a shoddy dresser as well. Win win! Bonus points - the above trundle crib retained its sturdiness, looks and value over those three. years. We were able to sell it for a substantial portion of its original value which went a long way to funding the bunk beds. A true testament to good design and craftsmanship versus buying cheap stuff made in China! Oh and they even helped us list the trundle crib on the resale section of their website! We had an excellent experience with Casa Kids and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had a very positive experience with CasaKids. We bought a Cabina bunk bed. I love the modern, clean design of the bed; as well as the craftsmanship. I felt that the bed would be very safe for my kids, and would grow with my kids, converting into two twin beds easily. Now that we have it installed in the room, it looks great and functions extremely well. My kids love it. This is definitely an investment piece for us, and we fully expect it to last for years. Also, I had a great customer service experience with Francis, who showed me all of the models I might be interested in, explained the pros and cons of each model, was very responsive to my questions, and arranged for delivery (I had my own moving service pick up). Everything went very smoothly. I also had a chance to meet Gil, the designer and owner of CasaKids, who keeps models of all of his previous work in the showroom. Gil takes obvious pride in the quality of his work and the connection he makes with the families who live with his pieces. What a great local business!

We then booked an on-site visit and had a more in-depth conversation about what we wanted from the room, where things should be placed, adding storage, etc. We received beautifully detailed plans that let us see and almost feel exactly how the room would look when done. Francis especially was always available to answer questions and make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Installation was efficient and professional and completed on the earlier side of the estimated 10-12 week timeframe. We are so happy with the final result -- the furniture looks great and has added so much storage to our children's bedroom. I highly recommend CasaKids for any family looking for quality, safe furniture customized for your needs.

I admired their beds for a couple of years before I purchased. I kept coming back to they're beautiful beds and fantastic on their efficient use of space.The experience itself of buying was a good one. They gave design ideas - very important for us given the unusual shape and size of the room. I liked that they know NYC spaces. They welcomed my daughters learning about the process. And they were very accommodating when we had to delay delivery. The only down side was it took some time for this or that to happen but it was fine. They're a small business with big plans, they take care in their craft, and they always responded to my repeated questions. My daughters love their beds. They look good. And you know - I appreciate how efficient they are in the use of space while being so sturdy. Really.

We have a crib from Casa Kids and a small child's chair. I have to say that not only are they beautiful, they are sturdy!!! I have often found myself crawling into the crib to help my child fall asleep and I do not worry about it being able to handle all of the weight. I can also say that my child is almost 3 years old and still can't climb out of the crib. Very well made and very strong furniture. Our crib has made it through two kids and has plenty of life left in it. This is a legacy piece built to last. I can also say that I use the child's chair as an adult stool sometimes. It is very strong and steady. I don't worry about it falling over. My kids have always enjoyed putting things in the little drawer.

“I bought a bunk bed (Marino Bunk Bed) from Casa Kids during a seasonal sale and even though they were busy with floor sample sale were quite able to deal with the crowd of people each looking for their own special deal. Roberto and his staff each were very helpful including during final pickup. We ended up with getting a made to order bed and it was on time and were available for additional questions after the purchase was made as well. I'm not sure why some of the negative reviews in here as for the crib review I am in that business and buying a factory made crib is a tough one to get at $800 in fact the quality beats Oeuf and is made right here in NYC, beating those prices and made to order its a deal well worth it.”

Casa Kids installed a bunk bed/crib combo, desk/bookshelf combo and changing table in our kids' room and wow, are we happy with the result! Roberto and his staff were incredibly professional and nice to work with, and they came up with a fantastic and flexible plan to maximize the space in our kids' shared bedroom - no small feat considering the five-year age gap between them! We now have more storage than we can use, giving us plenty of space to grow into as the kids get bigger. The furniture is sturdy and safe, and looks fantastic. Most importantly, the kids love it. We picked up the beds this past Friday and it took us about four hours to set both beds up. Let me just say that we couldn't be happier with the product. The assembly instructions were well drafted and easy to follow. All the pieces fit together seamlessly as they should. All this points to Casa Kids' good designs and excellent construction and workmanship. And thank you for reconfiguring the two little openings of the LoLo beds to the left (so they are not covered by the stairs) and moving the landing of the upper bunk to the right so it aligns with the top of the stairs. All these little things that you did for us far exceeded our expectations. We met Roberto about three years ago when we moved into an apartment with a tiny bedroom for our daughter. We found him on the internet after an exhaustive search. He came over and charmed my daughter and me, and soon after delivered beautiful sketches for what the room could become. We used Casa Kids for our son's bedroom and were very happy with Roberto Gil and his team. Roberto sent his designer Juan to measure the room and find out exactly what we were looking for, and then gave us sketches with quotes for different configurations. Everything was handled in a professional manner, and we are very pleased with how the room turned out for our son. I had asked Roberto if we could pay him in installments as my husband had recently lost his job and he did not hesitate to work out a payment plan for us. I think this speaks very highly of Roberto Gil and the type of person and business that he is running. I don't know too many business owners who would be willing to do that. We even went to the showroom in Red Hook without an appointment, and the staff gave my son a tour and showed him the various projects they were working on. We highly recommend Casa Kids if you are looking for high quality furniture designed to specifically meet your child's needs. We had a wonderful experience working with Roberto and the entire team!

I had been searching for functional bunk beds for my children’s room as they had outgrown the trundle bed...essentially my youngest was sleeping in a drawer. We had considered other bunk beds but didn’t like the idea of our kids climbing up/down a ladder and we also did want to invest in something expensive that they would outgrow. We discovered Roberto/Casa Kids via searching custom builders in brooklyn. Roberto designed a solution that met our criteria as well as personalizing it based on our children’s interests. In addition, created steps and constructed it such that a teenager would still think is cool. Win, win. The craftsmanship is top notch and the process and installation was hassle free.
